Melanie Salas
Melanie has been blessed to be a Dance Mom for 15 years, spending her free time (and money) living her best "Dance Mom Life." She lives in New Braunfels, Texas, with her husband Chad, their two daughters, Sadie and Sydnie, and their two labradoodles, Gracie and Indie. Both Sadie and Sydnie dance for their studio’s competition team and their varsity high school dance team. Though it's a busy life with 2 dancers and a professional career, Melanie wouldn’t trade it for the world and is excited to help others enjoy the Dance Mom journey as much as she has!

What dancers and moms are saying about the Tradition of the Dance Costume Charm
“This charm is so special to my daughter. It gave her a calming presence to help with her stage anxiety & she doesn’t want to be without it on stage from here on out. A special token for sure that she cherishes so much!”
-Jennifer D.
”The Dance Costume Charm has created a moment for my daughter and me to share at each and every competition. It has created a space for us to talk about how much she is supported and loved, and how proud we are of her hard work and commitment. In an environment that can often be full of pressure and disappointment, it helps us focus on the bigger picture and what really matters as she grows and works to achieve her goals.”
-Erin P.
“My mom passed away last year and my daughter is doing a solo in her memory. This was the perfect opportunity to start this tradition. Even though it’s just our first year, I know this will remain one of our favorite memories of dance together.”
-Tanya L.
“My daughter gets very nervous before she takes the stage. So much so that I wasn’t sure if she would continue to do solos. Putting the charm on as she gets ready has allowed us time to talk through nerves and ensure she is mentally ready to enjoy the time on the stage. I’m thankful for this reminder to slow down and remember what’s most important about dance. “
-Lauren P.
